ENDODONTIST, Ivan m. Larsen, Dmd

Dr. Ivan M. Larsen is a native of southwestern Idaho – where he was raised along with his two brothers and three sisters. Throughout high school, Dr. Larsen was a student athlete and graduated in the top 4 percent of his class. After graduation, he volunteered to serve in two-year church humanitarian mission in Santiago, Chile. While there, he became fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Larsen returned to Idaho to complete a bachelor’s degree in Spanish at Boise State University. Upon graduation, he taught Spanish at a local high school for six years. Although Dr. Larsen enjoyed his work, he felt that teaching was not the right career path for him. It was then that his wife, Heather – a dental assistant – encouraged him to consider a career in dentistry.
In 2012, Dr. Larsen entered the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In 2016, he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Dr. Larsen practiced dentistry at a community health center in Mountain Home, Idaho for a year before choosing to pursue an advanced training in endodontics. In 2019, Ivan completed the Postdoctoral Dental Residency Program in Endodontics through New York University Langone Hospitals.
Dr. Larsen discovered his passion in the study and practice of endodontics. He enjoys the challenges presented by comprehensive dentistry, as well as the artistry involved in every aspect of the work.
Dr. Larsen lives in Jefferson City with his wife, Heather, and their four children – one daughter and three sons. The Larsen family has received a warm welcome to the Midwest. Dr. Larsen is excited to serve and be a part of the community. In his spare time, he enjoys music, singing with his children and playing the guitar. His family loves spending time together at home and exploring outdoors.
